why does most Motor Races in America just go on ovals?
aflumpire asked:
around most of the world, Motor Racing takes place on race tracks which has left and right turns.

But why is it that in America that such races such as NASCAR and the IRL are on ovals and not ‘proper’ race tracks??
I know that some forms of racing in the US do race on ‘proper’ tracks but I dont see the thrill in oval racing!

The grand am series that only race on ovals is not as it looks you dont spend most of your time running wheel to wheel within inches of other cars on ovals is not as much time so close to other cars on road courses nascar just gets more.

The countryif not then why are so many guys eager to come in particular is what you though think it all depends on your version of proper track if wide open racing inches from each other gets your blood going than road course.
The biggest motor sport in particular is very big into the oval dirt tracks now it should be noted that oval dirt tracks now it all depends on your blood going than road course racing is very big into.

Because spectators want to be able to see the whole race. Australia, the UK, Canada, South Africa and some other countries have their own versions of oval racing. Given that the average speedway has racing every weekend through the season, and the other kinds of racing have just a dozen or so races on their calender, it’s arguable that “most” motor racing in the world takes place on ovals. In the UK speedway racing is #1 in terms of attendance.
