they are super fun to play with after a race and are very complacent to $$$$$

They are actually highly qualified in insect husbandry & are there to look after the Scuderiomorpha (the Italian underground centipedes bred by ferrari to discharge static under the F1 cars in the pits - you will see their antennae if you look closely next GP)
When well looked after, these centipedes exude a lavender-like aroma, which exerts a calming effect on those within a 3 metre radius. The problem occurs when Scuderiomorpha experience loneliness or neglect, upon which they will spray the nearest person with a negative, blame based liquid, causing the person to become aggressive towards their team & convinced of conspiracies to prevent them winning.
Scuderiomorpha are bred exclusively in Siena by Ferrari’s arthropod division.

pit lizards…all tracks have them. Only F1’s pit lizards have no teeth usually and they smell pretty rancid.

Decoration… seriously. They are there to just stand around with flags and signs and look hot. Sex-appeal brings in more people to races believe it or not.
